Tonight (09-09-2017) at about 8:18 PM, Windsor Police Deputies were dispatched to the former Johnny Garlics restaurant, now Lot 88 Restaurant, located at 8988 Brooks Rd S, for an injury accident involving a vehicle through their front doors. When Deputies and Fire arrived, they discovered a Windsor resident had driven his Toyota Avalon through the front doors of the occupied business. Further investigation revealed that the driver mistakenly pushed his accelerator pedal rather than his brake pedal while parking in front of the business. There were employees on the inside of the business wall that were pushed back by the caving in of the window frame. The employees suffered minor injuries and were released by medical staff on scene. The driver of the Toyota sedan was uninjured, and we determined that drug or alcohol were not a factor.
