Upcoming Events - Road closings, paper shredding, mosquito spraying, compressor meeting

Here are a list of upcoming events around the Township -

Road Closure - Friday 9-8-2017  
As part of the Middlesex County Road Department’s resurfacing project, Dey Road will be closed to through traffic on the evening of Friday 9/8/2017 and Monday 9/11/2017. Detour Routes will be posted. The hours of the closure will be from 7 pm to 5 am. Residents and emergency vehicles will have access.

Road Closure - Saturday 9-9-2017 / Sunday 9-10-2017
Docks Corner Road closed all weekend at Herrod Boulevard due to repairs of railroad crossing.

Paper Shredding Event – Saturday 9-9-2017
A free paper shredding event will be held in South Brunswick on Saturday. Residents can dispose of financial statements, receipts and other sensitive documents. A mobile paper shredding truck will be at South Brunswick Beech Woods Park, 37 Beekman Road, Monmouth Junction 08852, just off Route 1.
The event will run from 9 a.m. until noon, or until the truck is filled to capacity.
WHAT TO BRING - Limit of 5 file boxes or 100 pounds per car.
Paper must be in a manageable container--No Plastic Bags Please.
NOTE: No need to remove paper clips, staples or paperboard binder covers.
DO NOT BRING: Newspapers, magazines, hardcover books, junk mail, photos, x-rays, CDs, or garbage. Loads containing unacceptable items may be rejected.
Mosquito Spraying - Monday 9-11-2017
The Middlesex County Mosquito Commission will be conducting Truck Spraying on 9/11/17 Between Promenade Blvd and Finnegans Ln.

TIME OF SPRAYING: 6:00 pm to 11.59 pm

Weather Permitting. Rain Date: 9/12/17.

Meeting on Compressor Station – Thursday 9-14-2017

Williams Transco is proposing to build a 32,000 Horsepower compressor station (gas engine) that could affect the air of South Brunswick, Franklin, and Princeton area residents. Learn about the dangers posed to the health and safety of residents, visitors, wildlife and the environment from emitted toxic gas, noise, potential fires, and explosions.
