Full Notification

On the morning of Sept 8, 2017 at approximately 4:12 am Bannock County deputies responded to a suspicious incident in the Downey area. Upon initial investigation a shooting occurred at a residence leaving one person deceased. The incident is currently being investigated by the Bannock County Sheriff’s Office. At this point there is no evidence indicating any further threat to the citizens of Downey or Bannock County. This is being investigated as an isolated incident. Further information will be released as the investigation continues.
