Central American Independence Day Parade Street Closures in the Bay Shore/ Brentwood areas on 9-10-17. 
On Sunday, September 10, 2017, the Central American Independence Day Parade will be held in the Bay Shore and Brentwood areas. The motoring public should expect road closures and diversions, particularly during the hours of 11 AM to 3 PM. Fifth Avenue in Bay Shore will be closed between Spur Drive North and Candlewood Road during these hours. Candlewood Road will also be closed from Stein Drive to Carlton Ave. There will be other ancillary detours in the area. Motorists are advised to avoid the area and expect delays.
