Deputies arrest a woman for burglary of a motel room in Needles

SUMMARY: On Monday, September 4, 2017 at 2:34 p.m. deputies from the Colorado River Station/Needles Police Department investigated a burglary of a motel room at Motel 6 located at 1420 J Street in Needles. Sometime between the hours of 5:00 p.m. on September 3 and 1:00 a.m. on September 4, 2017 a suspect entered the victim's motel room stealing his iPad and Citizen watch.
During the investigation, the suspect was identified as Maria D. Sanchez, 28 years old of Mohave Valley, Arizona. Sanchez was an employee at Motel 6 and was working at the time she committed the burglary. On September 5, 2017 at 10:52 a.m., Sanchez was contacted at her place of empoyment, interviewed and arrested. Sanchez was booked at the Needles jail for PC 459 Residential Burglary with a of $75,000.00 bail.
