Please be advised of the following information:
Juveniles and young adults have been asking for donations in the parking lots of local businesses, in Jackson Tennessee, under the pretense that the money is being used for AAU and High school basketball tournaments.
The Jackson Police Department recently received several calls on these individuals and the department also received a complaint from a high school basketball coach. Officers have made contact with some of the suspects and the suspects have admitted that they are asking for money under fraudulent pretenses.
Arrests have been made and officers have been advised by at least two coaches that these suspects do not represent them nor their associations to solicit money.
