On September 3, 2017, at 4:59 a.m. Gibson County Central Dispatch received a report of a suspicious vehicle that had been sitting in the middle of Center Street in Francisco with the engine running and headlights on for over twenty minutes. Deputy Loren Barchett was dispatched to the area and located a Red 1995 Chevy Truck sitting a stop sign on Center Street facing Main Street. Upon approaching the vehicle Deputy Barchett noticed an open container of alcohol inside the vehicle and that the driver appeared to unconscious. At that point Deputy Barchett woke the driver 24 year old Colton Dunn of Francisco and began a roadside DUI investigation. At the conclusion of the investigation Mr. Dunn was taken into custody and transported to the Gibson County Jail where he was charged with Operating a Vehicle While Intoxicated (DUI.) He remains in custody on a $750 bond.

Assisting Deputy Barchett in his investigation was Deputy Ben Kiesel and Oakland City Officer Grant Fulkerson.

All Criminal defendants are to be presumed innocent until, and unless proven guilty beyond a reasonable doubt in a court of law.
