Northeastern Rutherford County in western North Carolina...
South central Burke County in western North Carolina...

* Until 715 PM EDT

* At 643 PM EDT, a severe thunderstorm capable of producing a tornado
was located 10 miles north of Rutherfordton, or 9 miles north of
Spindale, moving northeast at 30 mph.

HAZARD...Tornado.

SOURCE...Radar indicated rotation.

IMPACT...Expect damage to mobile homes, roofs, and vehicles.

South Mountains State Park and Salem around 710 PM EDT.

Other locations impacted by this dangerous thunderstorm include Union
