The Washtenaw County Sheriff's Office is still experiencing increased calls for service for thefts from motor vehicles as well as motor vehicle thefts.  This is due in large part by owners and drivers failing to lock the vehicle doors.  The Washtenaw County Sheriff's Office urges residents to continue their vigilance in watching out for your neighbors and report all suspicious activity and persons to the police.  We also urge Washtenaw County residents to LOCK their vehicles and refrain from leaving vehicle keys inside the ignition and vehicles in general. Together we can make a difference to deter crime and build strong sustainable communities.
