Los Angeles County Sheriff’s Homicide detectives are continuing to assist El Monte Police Department personnel in the suspicious death investigation of a man that was discovered on Tuesday, August 29, 2017 at 08:29 A.M.
 
El Monte Police officers responded to the 4300 block of Peck Road, El Monte, regarding a bad odor coming from an apartment at the location.  The body of a 50 year-old male was located inside the apartment. 
 
The victim appears to have been there for few days based on the process of decomposition to the body.  It also appears he is the male resident of the location.  The reason for the death is not apparent at this time and will be determined along with the confirmation of identification pending the autopsy.

Los Angeles County Sheriff's Homicide detectives are responding to the 4300 block of Peck Road, El Monte, to assist El Monte Police Department investigate the circumstances surrounding the death of a man. 

The victim was pronounced dead at the scene.
