The Upper Macungie Township Police Department is proud to announce it will be once again be organizing Operation Safe Stop. This program is for residents to nominate school bus stops in Upper Macungie Township. Those stops will then be visited by an Upper Macungie Township Police Officer who will look for safety issues and red light violations while interacting with the children and parents. Last year’s program was very successful and there were over 700 stops visited throughout the school year. But we need your help. Please nominate a bus stop by emailing Officer Bill Rohrbach at [email protected] with the location of the stop and the estimated times the bus will be there for pick up and drop off. This information can be found on the bus stop card that was sent to all students by the Parkland School District.
All other residents should be aware that school will be starting on 9/5/17 please drive safely as we will be out strictly enforcing these issues. Have a safe school year.
