#010 Assault with a Deadly Weapon
At 9:48 a.m., multiple officers respond with lights and siren to the area of Gurdwara Rd and Mission Blvd. on a call of a man swinging a metal pipe at another male.  A 28 year old adult male, Fremont resident was upset with a former co-worker over being owed money. The suspect broke the victim’s vehicle windshield with a large metal pipe.  He was ultimately arrested for assault with a deadly weapon and possession of a meth pipe found on his person. Investigated by Officer Tucker.

#033 and #034 Suspended License and Warrants
At 9:15 p.m., Officer Layfield conducted a traffic stop and arrested/cited a 60 year old adult male, Fremont resident for being an unlicensed driver.  The male also had to active warrant for driving with a suspended driver’s license.  He was issued a citation and new court date for his warrants.

#022 Residential Burglary
At 1:49 p.m., officers responded to the 200 block of Meadows Ct to investigate an in-progress residential burglary.  A resident heard someone at the front door.  He did not know who they were so he did not answer the door.  He went upstairs to see who it was and he saw the suspects walk around the house and into the backyard.  He called 9-1-1 when he heard the suspects attempting to enter the house.  He hid in the closet waiting officers to arrive.  Officer Haugh was close-by and was at the residence within a couple of minutes.  When Officer Haugh arrived at the residence he saw a burgundy SUV parked near the residence with a male sitting in the driver’s seat.  Officers Haugh and La Strape detained the subject as additional officers made their way to the house.  Knowing the resident was still in the house and believing the suspects may still be inside, an emergency response team entered the residence and searched for the suspects.  The resident was located and unharmed.  The suspects had fled the area.  A large perimeter was established and after approximately two hours of searching, the suspects were not located.  During the search, a backpack containing clothing, gloves and burglary tools was located in the area where the suspects may have fled.   The driver was identified as a 21 year old adult male from Philadelphia, PA.  Detectives responded and arrested the male for burglary.   Follow up is underway to identify the other suspects.
 
Suspect #1 –-  Hispanic/White male, medium height last seen wearing a black/white hat, light gray long sleeve shirt, gray pants and white/black shoes.
Suspect #2 -    Hispanic male, 20’s thin build, Last seen wearing black or dark color hoodies.
Suspect #3-     Male. Last seen wearing black or dark color hoodies.

A special thanks to UCPD and NPD who responded with their K9 teams to assistwith an extensive yard-to-yard search.  In addition thank you to EBRP Eagle7 and to FFD for bringing out the
UAV (drone).

#028 and #031 Petty Theft and Warrant Arrest
At 4:49 p.m., Safeway loss prevention (Warm Springs) arrested a 27 year old adult female for petty theft.  The female was refusing to give her name and she had no identification.  Officer Gigliotti responded and took custody of the suspect.  She was later identified and found to have an outstanding felony stolen vehicle warrant from Santa Clara PD and a larceny warrant from Campbell PD.

#036 DUI Arrest
At 10:23 p.m., Officer Gigliotti conducted a traffic stop in the 46100 block of Research Ave on a vehicle for a vehicle code violation.  He contacted the 57 year old adult male driver.  Officers immediately noticed the male appeared confused, spoke with a slow and slurred speech and had difficulties answering questions.  After conducting a Field Sobriety Test and a PAS test, Officer Gigliotii arrested the male for driving under the influence of alcohol.  He was booked into Santa Rita.

#013 Assault with a Deadly Weapon Attempt, Brandishing a Knife and DUI
At 2:21 p.m., officers responded to an ascertain the problem call.  The first caller stated two males with were on school grounds with knives.  A second caller reported one of the males with a knife brandished and threatened him.  They were last seen walking away while carrying a bottle of alcohol.  Officers located a group of males at the intersection of Nelson St and Logan Dr. walking westbound away from the school.  A 30 year old adult male, Fremont resident, was identified by the victim as the person who brandished the knife at him.  The male was in possession of a fixed blade knife in a sheath when he was detained.   The male was arrested for attempted assault with a deadly weapon, brandishing of a weapon (knife) and drunk driving.  Apparently he was doing donuts in the parking lot prior to the knife incident.  The second male was detained and released after being interviewed.

#015 Shoplifting
At 2:54 p.m., Officer Rose accepted the arrest of a 37 year old adult female who was caught shoplifting at a grocery store located in the 3100 block of Mowry Ave.  She was booked at the Fremont Jail.

#020 Shoplifting
At 6:19 p.m., Officer Vucurevich accepted the arrest of a 37 year old adult male, Union City man, who was caught shoplifting at a grocery store located in the 3100 block of Mowry Ave.  He was booked at the Fremont Jail.

#022 Battery and Probation Violation
At 8:09 p.m., Officer Floresca and FTO J. Kennedy arrested a 23 year old adult male near the area of Coronado Drive and Thornton Avenue after he battered a woman who was out for a walk in the neighborhood.  The assault was unprovoked.  The 23 year old was arrested and booked for battery as well as a probation violation.

#008 Warrant Arrest
Officer Rose conducted a security check at the an apartment complex located in the 4100 block of  and arrested an adult male for a Felony DUI warrant.

#028 Warrant Arrest
Officer Floresca was dispatched to the 38900 block of Blacow Rd to investigate a suspicious vehicle possibly involved in drug sales. Officer Floresca contacted several people inside the vehicle and arrested an adult male for an outstanding misdemeanor warrant.

#031 Warrant Arrest
Officer Macciola conducted a traffic stop on a vehicle in the area of Mission Blvd and Mowry Ave.  He arrested a 34 year old adult female, Fremont resident for outstanding misdemeanor warrants.  As she was being booked into the Fremont Jail, a small plastic bindle of suspected methamphetamine was found on her person.
