INCIDENT: Homicide Investigation
LOCATION: Nipton Road/ Interstate 15, Barstow
VICTIM: Black Male Adult (Deceased- name withheld pending next of kin notification)
SUSPECTS: Unidentified
SUMMARY:
On Sunday, August 27, 2017, at approximately 4:44 p.m., deputies from the Barstow Sheriff’s Station responded to Nipton Road and Interstate 15 for a report of a body found in the area. When deputies arrived they located a black male adult deceased at the scene.
Due to the suspicious circumstances, detectives from the San Bernardino County Sheriff’s Department, Specialized Investigations Division, Homicide Detail were requested and are conducting the investigation. Detectives determined the man was the victim of a homicide. Investigators believe the victim had ties to San Bernardino County as well as Southern Nevada.
