Neighbors' quick action stop a burglary in progress

16-year-old male juvenile of Adelanto
SUMMARY:
On Tuesday, August 23, 2017, at approximately 4:30pm, deputies from the Victor Valley Sheriff’s Station received a call of a burglary in progress in the 11300 block of Lee Avenue in Adelanto.
According to witnesses, two male juveniles were at the front door of a residence trying to break in. After ringing the doorbell multiple times, the suspects were observed shaking the door knob and pushing on the front door. One of the juveniles was seen removing the screen from a window and attempting to enter through the window.
Neighbors were quick to call 911 and take pictures of the juveniles, but at no time put themselves in danger. Witnesses did a great job and because of their actions and attention to activity in their neighborhood. we were able to arrest both suspects. Both juveniles were booked at the High Desert Juvenile Hall.
