08/14/20147 @ 12:04 pm - 1:50 pm.  An unknown suspect removed three suitcases containing clothing that were left unsecured in the parking garage.  Loss $1350.   #04320

08/14/2017 @ 7:20 am - 3:30 pm.  An unknown suspect removed the window screen of an open bedroom window to gain access and ransacked the interior.  The suspect removed jewelry from a cabinet in the living room.  Loss $35K.  #04344

08/14/2017 @ 8:00 pm - 10:00 pm.  An unknown suspect forced the driver’s side window down to gain access and removed paperwork from the glove box.  Loss $40.  #04390

08/15/2017 @ 8:45 pm.  A man removed lotion, razors, and miscellaneous toiletries from the display area and left the store without payment.  When confronted by an employee, the suspect punched the victim in the face and fled the area.  Loss Unknown.  #04370

08/18/2017 @ 2:40 am.  A man was walking NB on Robertson Blvd when a man approached him and asked if he could use the victim’s phone to call home. Two other men approached the victim from behind and shoved him to the ground. A short struggle ensued and the victim’s phone was pulled from his hand. All three suspects ran to a vehicle that was parked nearby and fled the area.  Loss $1K.  #04417

08/19/2017 @ 10:15 pm.  A man refused to return a ring he had taken from his friend.  The suspect was arrested.  Loss $5K (recovered). #04454

08/19/2017 – 08/21/2007.  An unknown suspect tampered with the front door knob in an attempt to gain entry but was unsuccessful.  Loss $50 (doorknob lock). #04494
 
Strong Arm Robbery
8800 block Melrose Avenue
08/19/2017 @ 1:08 pm.  A man and three women removed purses from the display area and ran to the front door.  A security guard tried to stop them from leaving and was pushed to the ground.  An employee of the store was also pepper sprayed in the face by one of the female suspects.  All four suspects ran from the store and fled the area in a vehicle that was parked nearby.  Loss $32K.  #04448

08/19/2017 @ 2:00 am - 6:00 am.  An unknown suspect removed a laptop computer from the trunk.  No sign of forced entry.  Loss $1K. #04440

08/19/2017 – 08/21/2017.  An unknown suspect smashed the rear passenger’s side window but nothing was taken.  Loss $300.  #04483

08/20/2017 @ 12:00 pm.  A male employee was at his vehicle to retrieve change for a customer when he was approached from behind by two men. One of the suspects held a knife to the victim while the other suspect took a tablet computer, cell phone, and cash from the vehicle.  Both suspects fled the area on foot.  Loss $1K.  #04466
 
 
 
 
Armed Robbery (Suspect Arrested)
1100 block La Brea Avenue
08/20/2017 @ 12:42 pm.  A male transient removed several items from store shelfs and left the store without payment.  When confronted outside of the store by security, the suspect began to swing his arms and struck the victim in the chest.  The suspect then picked up a metal sign that was nearby and began to swing it at the victim.  The suspect walked back into the store and began knocking bottles of alcohol from the shelfs.  The suspect pulled a fire extinguisher from the wall and began swinging the extinguisher at the victim. A second security guard arrived and helped detain the suspect until deputies arrived.  Deputies responded and arrested the suspect.  Loss $200 (broken alcohol bottles).  #04467

08/20/2017 @ 10:30 pm - 1:30 am.  An unknown suspect smashed the rear window and removed a backpack containing clothing from the trunk.  The backpack was searched and left on the ground near the vehicle.  Loss $700 (window).  #04480

1000 block Orange Grove Avenue
08/20/2017 @ 11:00 pm.  A man was inside his residence when he noticed three men standing near his vehicle and one man sitting inside of the vehicle with the doors open.  The man confronted the suspects, causing them to run away.  Responding deputies located and arrested one of the suspects.  No sign of forced entry.  No loss.  #04502
