UPDATE - MOTHER AND SON LOCATED SAFE AND SOUND
- SMPD seeks the public's help to locate a missing mother and her son.

AS OF ABOUT 9PM TODAY, AUGUST 21ST, MOTHER AND DAUGHTER HAVE BEEN LOCATED AND ARE SAFE AND SOUND. THANKS TO ALL FOR YOUR TIPS AND ASSISTANCE!
ORIGINAL MESSAGE:
San Mateo Police Department is currently coordinating with other law enforcement agencies to locate and check the welfare of 26 year-old San Mateo resident Kellanie Scott, and her 9-month old son Wesley. We are seeking the public's assistance. Ms. Scott was last seen picking up her son at daycare in San Mateo on Tuesday August 15th, and has been out of contact with immediate family. There is a possibility that Ms. Scott is in the Atascadero/San Luis Obispo County area at this time, and she also has contacts in Alameda and Contra Costa Counties.
Kellanie Scott is an African-American Female, approximately 4'11" and about 150 lbs. Her son Wesley is a 9 month-old African American Male child. The may be in a blue Toyota Rav 4 with a license plate ending in -517.
SMPD, in coordination with other law enforcement agencies have made multiple attempts to locate and contact Ms. Scott to check on her welfare and that of her son. She has not been located, and we are seeking the public's help.
Ms. Scott and her son are currently listed as Missing / At Risk until authorities can check and assure their well-being. If anyone has information that will assist us in this effort, please contact SMPD at the number below, or notify your local law enforcement.
