On Thursday, August 17th, 2017, around 9:30 p.m., a strong-arm robbery occurred near the intersection of Hearst Avenue and LeConte Avenue.  The victim, a 25-year-old male UCB student, was walking when he was approached by the suspects.  The suspects took his property and fled on foot to a vehicle.  The victim was treated at the scene by the Berkeley Fire Department and transported to a nearby hospital.  BPD searched the area and detained the suspect vehicle containing four occupants.  BPD arrested one suspect and is actively investigating the other individuals.
The suspect arrested is a:
19-year-old male with no affiliation to UCB.
