OSBI Special Agents Make Arrest in Cordell Murder Case
This afternoon, OSBI special agents made an arrest in the murder of a Cordell woman inside her home July 20, 2017. Agents arrested a 14-year-old boy on a warrant for first degree murder, shooting with intent to kill, and burglary in the first degree. Tammi Thomas, 36, was shot inside her Cordell home during a home invasion. Her 14-year-old son was also shot in the shoulder. Both victims were taken to an Oklahoma City hospital. Tammi Thomas died shortly after she arrived. The boy was released from the hospital a few days later. The child was arrested at his home in Corn and booked into the Washita County jail. The Washita County Sheriff’s Office requested OSBI special agents assist with the murder investigation. Agents have worked nonstop running leads.
