08/07/2017 @ 9:30 pm - 10:30 pm.  An unknown suspect smashed the rear passenger’s side window and removed a handbag containing a Mac Book and head phones from the back seat. Loss $1400. #04223
 
August 8^th
Strong Arm Robbery
Willoughby Avenue / Ogden Drive
08/08/2017 @ 10:04 pm.  A woman was walking WB on Willoughby Avenue when a man approached her from behind and pulled her purse from her shoulder. A struggle ensued and the victim was pushed to the ground. The suspect took the purse and fled the area EB on Willoughby. Loss $13K. #04240
 
August 9^th
Knife (Suspect Arrested)
1200 block La Brea Avenue
08/09/2017 @ 9:30 pm. A male transient attempted to stab an employee with a pair of scissors after he was asked to leave the location because he was yelling at customers. Responding deputies located and arrested the suspect. #04260 
 
Grand Theft
8400 block Melrose Avenue
08/09/2017 @ 6:18 pm.  A man removed clothing and one pair shoes from the display area and left the store without payment. Loss $960. #04270
 
Other Burglary
9000 block Sunset Blvd (Attempt)
08/09/2017 @ 4:52 am - 5:09 am. Four men attempted to pry the rear door open but were unsuccessful.

08/11/2017 @ 11:34 pm - 1:30 am.  An unknown suspect smashed the rear driver’s side window and removed a suitcase containing clothing and shoes from the back seat. Loss $1850. #04297

Vehicle Burglary 
8532 Melrose Avenue
08/11/2017 @ 10:30 pm - 3:15 am.  An unknown suspect smashed the rear driver’s side window and pushed the rear seat forward to gain access to the trunk area but the trunk was empty. Loss $200 (window). #04298
 
 
 
 
 
 
August 12^th
Strong Arm Robbery (Suspect Arrested)
500 block N Doheny Drive
08/12/2017 @ 3:20 pm.  A woman removed money from a donation jar and fled the area on foot. The victims chased after the suspect and a struggle ensued for the money. One of the victims was bit on the arm and the other victim was scratched on her arm. Deputies responded and arrested the suspect.
Loss $250 (recovered). #04305

8500 block Holloway Drive
08/12/2017 @ 4:00 pm - 9:30 am. An unknown suspect removed clothing and sunglasses from the interior. No sign of forced entry. Loss $3K. #04327

08/13/2017 @ 4:31 pm - 4:45 pm.  A man and a woman removed nine iPods from a display case and left the store without payment. Loss $2500. #04324
 
Strong Arm Robbery
7500 block Norton Avenue
08/13/2017 @ 5:33 am.  After going out on a date together, a man pulled a woman’s purse from her arm and ran to his vehicle. The suspect hit a parked vehicle as he was trying to leave the scene. The suspect left the purse and the vehicle at the scene and ran away. Loss $525 (phone). #04312

7100 block Santa Monica Blvd
08/13/2017 @ 2:45 am.  A man was entering the door code to gain access to the lobby area of his residence when he was surrounded by four men. The victim was punched and knocked to the ground by the suspects. The suspects took the victims phone a fled the area. Loss $900
