*Update/Correction* #LASD Shooting Death Investigation, 10300 BLK Fern St., South El Monte

Los Angeles County Sheriff’s Department Homicide detectives are continuing their investigation into the circumstances surrounding the shooting death of a man. The incident occurred on Monday, August 14, 2017, at 10:30 p.m. on the 10300 block of Fern Street, South El Monte.

Temple Station deputies responded to the 10300 block of Fern Street, South El Monte, regarding an “assault with a deadly weapon/gunshot victim” call.  Upon their arrival, deputies learned that the victim was driving in front of the location, when an unknown suspect shot into the vehicle.

The victim drove a short distance and collided into a parked vehicle.

The victim was shot at least one time in the torso.

The victim was pronounced dead at the scene.

The victim is described as a male Hispanic adult.

There is no suspect information at this time.

The investigation is on-going.

Los Angeles County Sheriff's Homicide detectives are responding to the 10400 block of Fern Street, South El Monte, to investigate the circumstances surrounding the shooting death of a man that occurred on Monday, August 14, 2017, at 10:53 p.m. 

The victim was pronounced dead at the scene.
