HOLLISTER, CALIFORNIA – August 10, 2017 – The Hollister Police Department has made one additional arrests in connection to the May 28, 2017 murder of Victor Barajas (23).
The Hollister Police Department Detectives are continuing with the investigation of the killing of Victor Barajas. On August 02, 2017 detectives working this case received word from the San Diego Sheriff’s Office that Nikko Espinoza (25) had been taken into custody and was being held at their jail.
The San Benito County District Attorney’s Office had issue a warrant for Espinoza shortly after the homicide took place. Espinoza was on the run for several weeks before being contacted by law enforcement officials in the San Diego area.
Hollister detectives were notified that Espinoza had been taken into custody and immediately responded to the San Diego County jail and picked him up.
Espinoza is from Hollister and was booked for 187 PC – murder and is being held on $1,000,000 bail at the San Benito County Jail.
This is an active and on-going investigation.
