National Night Out 2017

On August 1, 2017, the Corcoran Police Department took part in National Night Out. It is a nationwide event intended to promote relationships between police and the local community. The event was held at Christmas Tree Park and included carnival games, informational booths, a blood drive, food, beverages and raffles. There was a great turnout of Corcoran community members and all that participated seemed to have a great time. The event was made possible by local businesses, citizens and groups making very generous donations to the event itself. The Corcoran Police Department would like to thank Smithfield Foods, Pizza Factory, Costless Foods, Manco Abbott, A&W, Corcoran Chamber of Commerce, Corcoran Police Activities League, Corcoran City Manager, Corcoran City Clerk, J.G. Boswell, Fresno Grizzlies, Wild Water Adventures, The Island Water Park, Fresno Chaffee Zoo and Six Flags Magic Mountain. With all that is going on in the world, our department likes to take advantage of every opportunity it can to interact with and help promote a great relationship with community members. National Night Out 2017 clearly made a great impact on the department and the community as a whole. The Corcoran Police Department is committed to the citizens of Corcoran and we hope this event demonstrated that. A special thank you to those who donated blood. There were 30 donors which can save up to 90 lives. One more special thank you to Corporal Daniel McAlister who organized NNO 2017. Thank you again for all of the help and support. We look forward to making National Night Out 2018 an even bigger success.
