Southport Officer Struck, Suspects in Custody 
A Southport police officer was struck this morning while working off duty employment at Methodist Hospital. The officer is currently in stable condition with non-life threatening injuries and is expected to be okay. The officer was attempting to apprehend a robbery suspect when the incident occurred.
The suspects were later apprehended after a brief vehicle chase.
Southport detectives are working with IMPD on this ongoing investigation.
