LOCATION: Needles Highway and Broadway, Needles CA 92363
SUSPECT(S): Shayleen Coon 43 years olf from Searchlight, NV
Trenton Mick 26 years old from Bullhead City, Arizona
Truman Pointer 41 years old from Bullhead City, Arizona
SUMMARY: On Sunday, August 6, 2017 , Deputies from the Colorado River station contacted Shayleen Coon, Trenton Mick and Truman Pointer during a traffic stop on Needles Highway near Broadway in Needles, California. During the investigation, Ms Coon was found to be in possession of over 70 grams of suspectect heroin, 40 grams of suspected methamphetamine, a small amount of marijuana, miscellaneous drug paraphernalia and over $2000 in cash. Mr. Mick was found in possession of a loaded firearm. It was later discovered that Mick was prohibited from possessing a firearm due to prior felony convictions. Truman Pointer was found to be in possession of hypodermic syringes.
The driver, Shayleen Coon, was arrested for transportation of a controlled substance. Her bail was set at $50,000. The passenger, Trenton Mick was arrested for transportation of a controlled substance and for being a felon in possession of a loaded firearm. His bail was set at $50,000. The additional passenger, Truman Pointer was cited for being in possession of drug paraphernalia and released from custody.
