Timely Warning - Battery, Kidnapping and Robbery

Battery, Kidnapping and Robbery
People’s Park
UCPD Case # 17-02027

 
On Sunday, August 06, 2017 at 11:00 a.m. UCPD received a report of a battery, kidnapping and robbery in People’s Park.  The male victim, non-affiliate was in the park when he was approached by the suspect who punched him several times, physically dragged him out of the park and stole his cell phone.  The suspect was last seen running southbound from the park.  The victim suffered minor physical injuries.  UCPD searched the area but could not find the suspect.
 
The suspect was described as:
 
A Black male, 25-28 years of age, 5’08”-5’09” in height, with a thin mustache or goatee, wearing a tan wide brim hat, burgundy fleece jacket, blue jeans and carrying an unknown colored backpack.

  • Please do not delay in calling law enforcement.  UCPD strongly encourages the reporting of criminal or suspicious activity in a timely manner to assist us in intervening in potential criminal actively and apprehending suspects.
