INCIDENT: Attempted Murder

LOCATION: Daisy Road / Sierra Road

SUSPECT: Anthony Carrillo, 31-year old Victorville resident

VICTIM(S): Confidential, 35-year old male

SUMMARY: On July 16, 2017, deputies from the Victorville Police Department responded to suspicious circumstances call at Daisy Road and Sierra Road. The caller stated he had been shot.

Deputies arrived at the location and discovered a 35-year old male victim suffering from multiple gunshot wounds. He was transported to a local hospital and subsequently flown to a trauma center for treatment. Through an extensive investigation by deputies and detectives, the suspect was identified as 31-year old Anthony Carrillo. The circumstances leading to the shooting were not clear but deputies were able to determine the two knew each other. A search warrant was authored and obtained for the arrest of Carrillo.

Deputies from Victorville Police Department’s Gang Enforcement Team obtained information on Carrillo and his whereabouts. On August 1, 2017, the Gang Enforcement Team located Carrillo in the 300 block of S. Mountain Avenue, in the city of Ontario. He was taken into custody without incident and booked into West Valley Detention Center for attempted murder, as well as an outstanding warrant.
