Sheriff Victor Hill's Special Forces Continues To Successfully Target "Violent Trigger Pullers" And Guns

After the senseless wave of gun violence last year in Clayton County, Sheriff Victor Hill vowed to begin a crusade to hunt those who he referred to as "violent trigger pullers" and to remove as many illegal guns from criminals as possible.

Yesterday, Justin Ramon Roberson of Riverdale learned the hard way about the High Sheriff's initiative for taking guns off the street. While the  B.A.T. (Burglary/Auto Theft/Truancy Unit) was patrolling the area of Taylor Road in Riverdale, they were flagged down by a group of teens that said they had been shot at by a black male near Avalon Drive. They quickly responded to the area and located a man fitting the description who was identified as being Roberson.  Roberson was acting very suspicious and could not maintain a story of why he was in the area. He also smelled and appeared under the influence of alcohol.  Roberson was was detained, but the gun was not immediately located.

Unknown to the B.A.T. Unit, Roberson had hidden the weapon in a mail box when he saw the patrol cars coming at a distance. However, after talking to good members and partners in the community, deputies were told that the missing gun could be found if they look in the mail boxes. Several mailboxes were searched and a pistol matching the description was located.  Roberson admitted the gun was his and he had shot it near the teens.

Roberson has a felony conviction involving a weapon from Detroit Michigan that prevents him from owning or having a gun.  Roberson now faces the wall at Georgia's toughest para-military jail along with a host of other gun carrying criminals who the new initiative has now  caused their captured.
