Los Angeles County Sheriff’s Department Special Enforcement Bureau (SEB) has concluded their tactical response regarding the armed suspect, who had barricaded himself at the 3600 block of Floral Drive, unincorporated Los Angeles. The suspect was found deceased in the location.
SEB deputies learned on Tuesday morning, August 1, 2017, at approximately 9:00 a.m., East Los Angeles Station personnel responded to the location regarding an “Assault with a Deadly Weapon” call. When deputies arrived at the location they learned an armed suspect barricaded himself in the residence.
After several verbal attempts by LASD Crisis Negotiations Team members to persuade the suspect’s surrender, the SEB special weapons team made entry into the residence where the suspect was located deceased. The team continued to search the location for suspects and/or occupants with negative results.
The area was deemed safe and all neighborhood evacuees were allowed to return to their homes.

Los Angeles County Sheriff’s Department Special Enforcement Bureau (SEB) is responding to the 3600 block of Floral Drive, unincorporated Los Angeles, regarding an armed barricaded suspect.
The surrounding homes have been evacuated for the safety of the residents.
The SEB Special Weapons Team has assumed command of the tactical response and the Crisis Negotiation Team is on scene to help bring the situation to a peaceful resolution.
