Wild raccoon rabies vaccine 
Beginning August4th thru August11th Allegheny County will be distributing wild raccoon rabies vaccine through our area.
Every community in the County will be visited. This is a yearly program and has been occurring for the last 16years.
During this time, please keep your pets on leash.
The bait packets are about the size of a ketchup packet, and is coated with fish meal.
The risk of adverse effects are minimal, but if you should find a packet, please avoid contact. The County asks also to avoid either personal or allowing pets to contact the bait for the week ending August 19th.
