UPDATE Grand Terrace - a deputy involved shooting occurred, suspect was struck, he was transported to local hospital 
UPDATE: At approximately 6:20 pm, a deputy involved shooting occurred. The suspect was struck by gunfire and transported to a local area hospital. His condition is unknown at this time.
Investigators from the Specialized Investigations Division will be responding to conduct the investigation.

At 4:40 pm, deputies responded to a residence in the 12800 block of Mirado Avenue in Grand Terrace following the report of possible shots fired. An adult male has been determined to be inside the residence, armed and is firing a weapon. SWAT is on scene – the public is urged to stay aware from the area. Nearby residents have been evacuated. Grand Terrace City Hall is available to all persons who have been evacuated. City Hall is located at 22795 Barton Road.
