The male subject driving the newer blue truck present at the scene has been identified. Thank you to those who have replied to this social media news release.

Grand Haven DPS was dispatched to the 1300 block of Woodlawn Avenue on July 23, 2017 at 12:09 p.m. on a report of a 16 year old bicyclist who had possibly been struck by a vehicle. The victim was transported to Helen DeVos Hospital with serious injuries.

Based on the investigation thus far, it appears the location of the incident was actually at the intersection of Marion Avenue and Griffin Street. The incident would have occurred between 11:45 am and 12:00 pm. The victim was brought to his residence by an older male subject, possibly 55-65 years of age who was driving a newer blue colored truck which has been described possibly as a Chevy Silverado. The identity of this male subject I unknown at this time.

An additional witness indicated they observed the victim being assisted by an older male subject who was driving a newer blue colored Chevy truck, possibly a Silverado. They also stated a young female was also present at the scene. Her identity is also unknown.
