*Update*#LASD*Suspect Arrested* Lancaster Vehicular Hit and Run of 11-yr-old Girl
On Tuesday, July 18th, 2017 at approximately 12:01 AM, a two vehicle collision occurred at 20th Street East and Lancaster Boulevard, Lancaster. An 11-year-old girl, who was a passenger in one of the vehicles was airlifted to a local hospital and listed in extremely critical condition.
The driver of the other vehicle, 25-year-old, Eduardo Medrano Jr. was positively identified by multiple witnesses and seen fleeing the scene in a vehicle, a gold or tan Infinity 4-door sedan, license number “6MWM091”, that drove up after the collision.
On Thursday July 20th 2017, the 11 year-old female succumbed to her injuries. She was surrounded by her family.
On Friday, July 21, 2017, at approximately 6:00 PM, suspect Eduardo Medrano Jr. turned himself in at Lancaster Sheriff Station to Detective Borrell.
Suspect Eduardo Medrano Jr. was booked at Lancaster Sheriff Station for Felony Hit and Run and his bail was set at $250,000.
We want to thank the public for their help in locating the suspect and convincing him to turn himself into authorities.

Lancaster Station, Traffic unit investigators are working tirelessly to find Suspect Eduardo Medrano Jr. They are requesting the public’s assistance in locating Medrano who is described as approximately 5’10” tall, weighing 145lbs with black hair and green eyes. Investigators are also seeking the unidentified driver of the Infinity sedan as a person of interest.
