A traffic collision on Highway 395 results in the death of an Adelanto teen

INCIDENT: Fatal Traffic Collision
LOCATION: US Highway 395, south of the intersection with Rancho Road
Party #1: Gabriel Duran, 19 year old male, resident of Adelanto (deceased)
Party #2: 51 year old male from Victorville
SUMMARY:
On Monday, July 17, 2017 at approximately 10:55 p.m., Adelanto Sheriff's deputies were dispatched to an unknown injury traffic collision involving two motor vehicles in front of Adelanto Stadium on US Highway 395, south of Rancho Road.
Deputies determined that Party #1 was traveling north on US Highway 395 and Party #2 was traveling south on US Highway 395, near the intersection with Rancho Road. For unknown reasons, one of the two vehicles crossed over the center line of US Highway 395, resulting in a head-on collision. Four occupants inside vehicle #2 were transported by ground and air to local hospitals for moderate and major injuries. Party #1 was pronounced deceased at the scene of the collision. It is unknown if alcohol was a contributing factor in the collision.
