The Norton Shores Police Department is investigating two fires in the 1800 Block of Channel Rd. located inside the Maranatha Complex.

The Norton Shores Police Department is investigating two fires in the 1800 Block of Channel Rd. located inside the Maranatha Complex. The first fire which was ruled an arson occurred on September 10, 2016 at 10:29 PM and caused $300,000 in damage to the home. The most recent fire occurred on July 13, 2017 at 10:51 PM. and the house was a total loss. The State Police Fire Marshall and investigators have determined the fire suspicious at this time pending further investigations.
Investigators are asking anyone with information on the crime to contact the Police Department or Silent Observer. Patrol officers have been assigned to the complex to assist Maranatha security with patrolling the area.
The Maranatha Association is committed to having a crime free community. They have raised reward money for information leading to the arrest and conviction of the person or person’s responsible for the Fires. The Maranatha Association has partnered with Silent Observer in offering a reward of up to $10,000.
