07/10/2017 @ 7:30 pm - 9:30 pm.  An unknown suspect removed a cell phone and wallet from a backpack on the ground.  The victim was playing basketball when the incident occurred.  Loss $1K.  #03734

07/10/2017 @ 6:00 pm - 11:30 pm.  An unknown suspect used a dog door in back of the residence to gain entry and ransacked the interior. S1 attempted to remove a safe from the wall but was unsuccessful.  No items were taken.  Loss $300 (wall damage).  #03682

07/10/2017 @ 12:04 am.  A man was walking on the sidewalk when a man approached him armed with a handgun and demanded his backpack.  The suspect saw a witness approaching the scene and put the gun away and walked away.  No loss.  #03669

07/14/2017 @ 10:30 pm.  A man was walking WB on Santa Monica Blvd when he was approached by a male transient who was holding a metal rod and acting strangely.  The suspect swung the metal pipe at the victim but he was able to move away to avoid being struck. Responding deputies located and arrested the suspect.  #03767

07/14/2017 @ 9:09 am.  Two men entered the building and confronted an employee who was standing behind the counter.  One of the suspects pointed a handgun at the victim and demanded oxycodone pills.  The victim complied and the suspects fled the area on foot.  Loss unknown.  #03752

07/15/2017 @ 12:40 am.  A man smashed a window on the eastside of the residence to gain entry.  The noise from the window breaking alerted the homeowner and as he walked into the living room, he saw the suspect running from the driveway and to an awaiting vehicle.  Loss $400 (window).  #03771

07/15/2017 @ 1:45 pm.  A man removed clothing from the men’s and women’s department and left the store without payment.  When confronted security, the suspect began to fight and a struggle ensued. The victim let go of the suspect and he fled the area on foot.  Loss $681. #03782

07/16/2017 @ 7:07 pm.  A male transient removed clothing and left the store without payment.  When confronted by security, the suspect became aggressive and pulled away from the victim.  The victim let the suspect walk away.  Responding deputies located and arrested the suspect.  Loss $55 (recovered).  #03816

07/16/2017 @ 1:20 am.  A man was walking NB on Hilldale Avenue when a vehicle pulled up next to him and stopped.  A man exited the rear passenger’s side of the vehicle armed with a handgun and demanded the victims property.  The victim complied and the suspect returned to the car and drove away.  The victim waited 12 hours to report the incident.  Loss $1100 (watch, cell phone, wallet).  #03806
