The Skokie Police Department's National Night Out - August 1, 2017 at Oakton Park!

The Skokie Police Department is proud to invite you to the National Night Out event on Tuesday, August 1, 2017 for a night of fun and celebration of our great community!

National Night Out is an annual community-building campaign that promotes police-community partnerships and neighborhood camaraderie to make our neighborhoods a safer, better place to live. This year’s festivities take place at OAKTON PARK (4701 Oakton Street).

Activities will include tours of the Community Outreach Police Substation (COPS vehicle), the Skokie Police K9 Unit, the US Army climbing wall, McGruff the Crime Dog passing out glow necklaces/bracelets, Balloon Art/Animals & Glitter Tattoos by RC Juggle, music by DJ Jules, the Skokie Explorers youth group recruitment Q&A, a Skokie Fire Department apparatus display, games and balloons for the kids, the US Marines, New York Life child identification kits, Mariano's, Dunkin Donuts, Northshore Community Bank / Wintrust - dunk tank, Culvers custard and mascot, LIFETIME Fitness interactive exercise demos, Orange Theory cross fit, Nothing Bundt Cakes, selfie/photo stations, Facebook photo tagging contest, #skokieNNO, win a tablet or gift card, partnered with Marathon/Minuteman/Selex, ADT booth, Chicago Transit Authority, Metro Water Police - tree saplings giveaways, Chick-fil-A, Boy Scouts of America/Learning for Life rep to host a Police Explorers recruitment booth, Skokie Library Bookmobile, Nicor, Northshore Community Hospital, Northshore Mosquito Abatement and more…

Most importantly, we want to hear from you, the residents, about how to reduce crime and improve quality of life in your neighborhood by partnering with the Skokie Police Department.
