One July 13, 2017 at approximately 12:45 p.m. a private plane crashed in a rural field southwest of Sonoma Skypark Airport. Sheriff’s Office deputies and helicopter, Henry 1, responded. Fire and emergency medical personnel were already on-scene when Sheriff’s deputies arrived.
The plane carried four passengers. There is one confirmed fatality. The three other passengers were transported to local hospitals. The Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) will investigate the cause of the crash. All press inquiries should be directed to the FAA.
