Flood Warning until 07:00PM Monday

...The Flood Warning continues for the following rivers in Illinois... Des Plaines River near Gurnee affecting Lake County Des Plaines River at Lincolnshire affecting Lake County Des Plaines River near Des Plaines affecting Cook County Des Plaines River at River Forest affecting Cook County Des Plaines River at Riverside affecting Cook County Des Plaines River near Russell affecting Lake County Fox River at Algonquin Tailwater affecting Kane and McHenry Counties Fox River at Montgomery affecting Kane and Kendall Counties .Rivers will generally continue to rise as water from last night`s heavy rainfall drains from the smaller tributaries into the larger main stem rivers. Some additional showers and thunderstorms could produce locally another half inch of rain tonight, but rainfall tonight appears unlikely to significantly impact crest forecasts. The Flood Warning continues for The Des Plaines River at Riverside.

* At 745 PM Wednesday the stage was 5.6 feet.

* Flood stage is 7.0 feet.

* Moderate flooding is forecast.

* Forecast...Rise above flood stage by early Thursday and continue to rise to near 8.6 feet by early Friday morning.

* Impact...At 8.5 feet...Damage begins to residences in vicinity of junction of Salt Creek and Des Plaines River. &&

* AFFECTED AREAS: COOK
