#018 Public Intoxication Arrest
At 2:44 p.m., Officer Cavaz responded to the Safeway located at the Fremont Hub to investigate a drunk male who was taking off his clothes.  Once Officer Cavaz arrived he determined that Kulbir “Sammy” Singh (M48) was drunk in public so he received a ride to the Santa Rita Jail.  On his person were five credit cards belonging to other people not known to him.  He was booked on charges of appropriation of lost property >$400, receiving known stolen property, public intoxication and a probation violation.

#025 Resisting/Obstructing, Public Intoxication and Violation of Probation
At 9:24 p.m., Officer LaStrape responded to the Walgreens on Decoto Road to investigate a disturbance.  The caller reported he was inside the store knocking down signs and had walked in and out of other stores in the area and was yelling at people.  Officers arrived and contacted Robert Flores (M34) near the drive thru area of an adjacent restaurant.  Flores was on probation and officers conducted a search of his person.  Officers noted that Flores had blood shot watery eyes, a heavy slurred speech, an unsteady gait and difficulty standing on his own.   As officers questioned Flores he began responding with irrelevant comments, eventually making threats that he was going to attack the officers.  He was taken into custody and booked into Santa Rita on charges of resisting/obstructing, public intoxication and a violation of his probation.

#022 Assault with a Deadly Weapon
Officers were sent to the 4500 block of Eggers Drive to investigate an assault case.  Once they arrived they learned that the reporting party was attacked by his friend with a baseball bat.  The suspect left before the police arrived and the victim was treated at the scene for minor injuries.  This case is being investigated by Officer Franchi with further follow up to be completed.

#028 Armed Robbery (attempt)
A suspect entered the Mission Blvd. Market and demanded money of a store employee at gunpoint.  He left before getting anything.  He was last seen jumping the fence to the apartments behind the store.  He was described as a black male adult, wearing a white t-shirt, red hat and was wearing a surgical style mask.  A K9 track was attempted and several articles of evidence were located.  Investigated by CSI Chan.

#006 Outside Assist – Medical Call of a Drowning
At 10:56 a.m., officers were dispatched to Rancho Luna Apartments, located on the 3900 block of Monroe Ave concerning a 34 year old adult male who was found in the swimming pool un-responsive.  Officers Kerner and Butcher arrived on scene and found that the male adult had been pulled from the pool but was unconscious and not breathing.  The officers were advised that he was under water for at least two minutes before being pulled from the pool.  Officer Kerner began chest compressions while Officer Butcher opened the male’s airway via a C-spine hold.  The male began spitting up water and breathe on his own.  Officers turned him to his side in the recovery position and encouraged him to take slow breaths until EMS arrived. Fremont Fire arrived on scene and took over medical aid.  The male was transported to a local hospital and is expected to make a full recovery.  Excellent work by the officers!

#029 Under the Influence Arrest
At 9:45 p.m. Officer Godrich and FTO Layfield responded to a local hospital to investigate a taxi fare evasion.  Officers located Jamal Capers (M26) and he was identified by the taxi cab driver, however he did not want to pursue criminal charges.  Capers  was found to be on probation multiple times with a search clause.  During a search of his person, two glass meth pipes were located.  Capers admitted to smoking “crystal” earlier in the day, along with smoking marijuana and drinking alcohol.  He was found to be under the influence and was arrested.

#003 DUI Arrest
At 1:15 a.m., Officers Madsen and Wong were working a DUI saturation patrol and were in the area of Peralta Blvd and Parish Dr. when they heard a vehicle’s tires screeching.  Officer Madsen observed a small red vehicle traveling northbound at a high rate of speed.  As the vehicle approached a sweeping left turn, it lost control and almost completed a 180 degree turn. The vehicle ended up in the southbound lane of Parish Dr.  Officer Madsen activated his lights and made contact with the driver, Daniel Thompson (M23).  As they approached Thompson, they immediately noticed the distinct odor of alcohol emanating from his person and observed he had blood shot and watery eyes.  After his performance on the field sobriety tests, he was asked to take the PAS (breath) test, but he initially refused.  He was placed under arrested for DUI and his vehicle was left parked at the scene.  At the jail, he agreed to the breath test and the sample indicated a 0.15% BAC.

#011 Collision
Officers responded to a roll over collision near Fremont/Cushing where the reporting party said they saw a vehicle exit the roadway down into an embankment and turn onto its side.  The vehicle was located with no one inside.  Traffic Officer Hartman picked up the investigation which is continuing to identify the driver.

#013, #014 Driving on a Suspended License and Theft
Officers responded to a grocery store on the 35800 block of Fremont Blvd, where a group of 6-7 young female adults split up into different groups inside the store and then ran out with diapers, baby formula, and a rotisserie chicken.  The reporting party stated they left in two vehicles, described as a silver Mercedes Benz and a beige vehicle.  License plate information was also provided.  Officer Singh was in the area of Mowry/Fremont when she recognized the beige vehicle and matched the license plate.  The vehicle was occupied by four females.  The vehicle vehicle yielded in the Alder Plaza and Officer Singh made contact with the occupants.  The driver lied about her name and was ultimately identified as Amanda Pittman (F24) who had a suspended driver’s license and a warrant for driving on a suspended license.  No loss was located in the vehicle and the original petty theft is being investigated by Officer Tran.  Pittman was arrested for providing false ID to the police, driving with a suspended license and warrants.

#015 Mental Health Hold
Officer Francisco and Tran responded to a female at a store located at Decoto and Fremont who was causing a disturbance with employees and customers.  The female was contacted a placed on a mental health evaluation hold.  While waiting for Paramedics Plus, the female became combative.  She was controlled and transported by Paramedics Plus to the hospital for a mental health evaluation.

#017 Unlicensed Driver
At 3:09 p.m., Officer Gerber made a traffic stop near Roberts Ave and Washington Blvd.  He cited the male driver for unlicensed driving.

#024 Suspended License & Warrant
At 5:31 p.m., Officer Rose conducted a traffic stop for a vehicle code violation at Mowry Ave and Bell St.  The driver a 36 year old adult female refused to provide her license, registration or insurance and requested a supervisor. Sergeant Griese responded and also spoke with her.  She continued to refuse and would not provide Sgt. Griese with the information.  Franco elected to be arrested, rather than provide her identifying information and receive a citation.  In the end it was determined she was driving with a suspended license and had an outstanding $10,000 warrant.  She was cited and released at the Fremont Detention Facility.

#026 Speed Contest
At 5:43 p.m., Officer Soper conducted a traffic stop near Sequoia Rd and Paseo Padre Pkwy to investigate a speed contest after observing a BMW and Camero racing in the area of Thornton and Paseo.  Officer Soper tried to stop both vehicles, but the BMW failed to yield.  The driver of the Camero, Pardee Singh (M23) was booked at the Fremont Detention Facility.

#029 Under the Influence Arrest
At 6:28 p.m., Officer Blanchet conducted a traffic stop near Stewart Ave and Christy St.  The driver Edward Moore (M27) was found to be on probation.  During a subsequent search, officers located burglary tools and drug paraphernalia.  Moore was arrested and booked for unlicensed driving, possession of drug paraphernalia and possession of burglary tools.

#030 Possession for Sales
At 7:43 p.m., Officer Gigliotti conducted a traffic stop near Auto Mall Pkwy and Grimmer Blvd.  He contacted the driver identified as Robert Robles (M38).  Robles was found to be on active searchable probation and also had a suspended/revoked driver’s license.  During a search of his person, a plastic baggy containing methamphetamine was located and another baggy was located in his vehicle.  In total, the search yielded nearly one ounce of methamphetamine.  Robles was arrested and booked for possession for sales, suspended license and a probation violation.

#023 Public Intoxication
At 4:57 p.m., officers were dispatched to the 37300 block of Niles Blvd to investigate a disturbance involving female who was harassing people.  Officers located Claudia Solorio (F39) near Niles and I Street after another caller reported she was yelling in the street.  Officers asked Solorio to walk towards them and they could visibly see she was under the influence.  Officers believed she was unable to care for herself and she was placed under arrested and booked into Santa Rita for Public Intoxication.
