On July 9, 2017 at approximately 12:46 am, Thurmont Police were called to the area of Sunny Close in Thurmont for a disturbance. Upon arrival, the officers began to resolve an argument between a brother and sister. While waiting outside with the brother, the sister, identified as: Jaime Lynn Wills, age 25, of Sunny Close, went inside her residence and began arguing with her husband. The officers then heard a disturbance inside the residence and entered to investigate. The officers found Wills’ husband in an upstairs bathroom with a stab wound to his back. Medical assistance was called and the victim was transported to Frederick Memorial Hospital for treatment. Through continued investigation and questioning, it was learned that the suspect- Jaime Wills - had stabbed her husband during an argument in the kitchen while the officers were outside their residence. Wills was arrested and charged with: First Degree Assault, Second Degree Assault, and Reckless Endangerment. She was taken to Central Booking and is being held without Bond pending a Bond Review Hearing. The victim’s injury did not appear to be life threatening.
