Los Angeles County Sheriff's Homicide detectives are continuing their investigation into the circumstances surrounding the stabbing death of a woman that was discovered Saturday, July 1, 2017 at 11:00 p.m. in the 4200 block of Jonathan Street, Lancaster.
 
Detectives have learned that 47-year-old Rafael Barragan, booking number 5031977, has been arrested and charged with the murder of his wife.  He is being held in lieu of $2,000,000 bail.  He appeared today in Antelope Valley Court, and was held to answer.
 
During the course of the investigation, while processing the crime scene for evidence, the murder weapon was located at the scene.
 
There is no additional information available, and the investigation is on-going.

Los Angeles County Sheriff’s Homicide detectives are continuing their investigation into the circumstances surrounding the stabbing death of a female Asian adult, which occurred Saturday, July 1, 2017, at 11:50 p.m., on the 4200 block of Jonathon Street, Lancaster.
 
Detectives have learned that the suspect and victim were engaged in an argument, of unknown reasons, prior to the stabbing.   The suspect and victim were married with two children. 
 
The suspect was detained at the location and is being held pending interviews by Homicide detectives. 
 
The victim was transported to a local hospital where she was pronounced dead.
 
There is no further information available at this time.
