INCIDENT: Child Cruelty

LOCATION: 15400 block of Vallejo Street

SUSPECT: Danessha Janee Williams, 28-year old Los Angeles resident

1-year old male

SUMMARY:
On July 5, 2017, deputies from the Victorville Police Department, responded to the 15400 block of Vallejo Street for a report of four young children who had been left in a car unsupervised for approximately 30 minutes.

Deputies arrived at the location and discovered a three year old female, 2-two year old females, and a one year old male, were locked inside a vehicle. The vehicle’s engine was turned off and the windows were rolled up. The children were in the back seat and no car seats were located in the vehicle. When the children’s mother, 28 year old Danessha Janee Williams saw the deputies she tried to leave the location in the vehicle, with the children still unsecured in the back seat.

Williams was detained without incident. She was booked at High Desert Detention Center for child cruelty and is scheduled to appear in Victorville Superior Court on July 7, 2017.

The children were checked out by fire personnel at the scene and released to the custody of a family member.
