Violent Carjackers Captured By Sheriff Victor Hill's Specialized Crime Suppression Team!

Last night while patrolling for stolen vehicles and guns, one of Sheriff's Victor Hill's specialized Crime Suppression members spotted a vehicle that was stolen  two days ago in a violent carjacking in Morrow.  In that carjacking, a female victim was mercilessly beaten and dragged from her vehicle.

Deputy Spakosky followed the vehicle until other units arrived and they all converged in on the suspects giving them no way to escape.  Derrick Helms and a juvenile suspect was taken into custody wisely surrendering without a fight.  Morrow Detectives responded to the scene of the stop, and were able to confirm that deputies had who was responsible for the violent carjacking.  Helms is now facing the wall at Georgia's toughest para- military jail.

Criminals need transportation.  That is why they steal cars to get to, and getaway from crime scenes.  They also need guns to commit the crimes.  This is why they break into cars and homes to steal them because they can't pass a background check and purchase a firearm legally.

Sheriff Victor Hill's new crime fighting strategy is to stop the flow of guns and cars to criminals to make them both stranded and gunless.  The Sheriff needs your help in two ways to help him and his Deputies accomplish their mission.

#1 Most cars that are being stolen are left unlocked with the key fobs in them, or left running.  Just locking the doors and not leaving vehicles running can keep a higher number of criminals walking.  Most criminals have no cardio-vascular conditioning, so they will be easy for Sheriff Victor Hill's Deputies to run down.

#2 Criminals look for unlock cars to steal firearms from.  Never leave your firearm in your car locked or unlocked.  If you need it it won't do you any good in the car anyway.  Also secure weapons that you leave in your home so that if someone does get inside your home, they cannot take your firearms. Most criminals cannot fight, so without a gun they are helpless and no match for the Sheriff's elite squads.

Let's help The High Sheriff keep criminals stranded, gunless, and defenseless by making it hard for them steal guns and cars in Clayton County!
