On June 30, 2017 at about 2:18 pm, we received a report of a vehicle collision in the area of Osgood Rd and Blacow Rd. Officers arrived and found a Ford pickup truck and an Audi Sedan on Osgood Rd, south of Blacow Rd. Traffic officers determined that a 24 year old man was driving the Ford truck northbound on Osgood Rd at a high rate of speed, lost control of the vehicle, crossed over onto the southbound lanes. The Ford truck struck the Audi sedan which was being driven by a 54 year old woman southbound on Osgood Rd. The man driving the Ford suffered fatal injuries. The woman driving the Audi suffered non-life threatening injuries and was transported to a local hospital for treatment. We are investigating if driver impairment is a factor.
