PLACERITA FIRE AT 870 ACRES; 50% CONTAINMENT
Mandatory evacuations are still in effect for homes in the area of Running Horse and Tenderfoot Trail. Placerita Canyon Road, east of the 14 freeway is temporarily closed. Residents will be allowed back into the area at 10 P.M. Sunday night.

WHEN YOU RETURN HOME AFTER AN EVACUATION:
- Be alert for downed power lines and other hazards.
- Check propane tanks, regulators, and lines before turning gas on.
- Check your residence carefully for hidden embers or smoldering fires.
FIREWORKS AND THE FOURTH OF JULY
With the Fourth of July holiday just around the corner,we would like to remind residents that ALL fireworks (including those labeled “Safe & Sane”) are illegal in the City of Santa Clarita. Fireworks can harm other people and their property, and it can also get you a fine up to $1,000 or a misdemeanor prosecution. Let's keep Santa Clarita safe.
