The National Weather Service in Charleston West Virginia has issued a

* Flash Flood Warning for... Meigs County in southeastern Ohio... Southern Washington County in southeastern Ohio... Northeastern Gallia County in southeastern Ohio... Jackson County in southeastern Ohio... Southern Athens County in southeastern Ohio... Southern Vinton County in southeastern Ohio... Pleasants County in northwestern West Virginia... North central Mason County in western West Virginia... Northwestern Tyler County in northern West Virginia... Northwestern Wirt County in northwestern West Virginia... North central Jackson County in northwestern West Virginia... Wood County in northwestern West Virginia...

* Until 1030 PM EDT

* At 730 PM EDT, Doppler radar and automated rain gauges indicated heavy rain falling across the warned area. Up to one inch of rain has already fallen. Flash flooding is expected to begin shortly.

* Some locations that will experience flooding include... Parkersburg, Marietta, Belpre, Jackson, Wellston, St. Marys, Pomeroy, Oak Hill, Albany, Coolville, Rutland, Forked Run State Park, Vienna, Williamstown, Mason, Belmont, Mineralwells, Washington, Tuppers Plains and Lubeck. Additional rainfall amounts of 1 to 2 inches are possible in the warned area.
