The National Weather Service in Charleston West Virginia has issued a

* Flash Flood Warning for... Southern Perry County in southeastern Ohio... Northern Washington County in southeastern Ohio... Northwestern Jackson County in southeastern Ohio... Morgan County in southeastern Ohio... Athens County in southeastern Ohio... Vinton County in southeastern Ohio...

* Until 900 PM EDT

* At 459 PM EDT, Doppler radar and automated rain gauges indicated heavy rain falling across the warned area. Up to one inch of rain has already fallen. Flash flooding is expected to begin shortly.

* Some locations that will experience flooding include... Athens, Marietta, Nelsonville, New Lexington, Glouster, McConnelsville, Mcarthur, Beverly, Shawnee, Chesterhill, Lake Hope State Park, Crooksville, Chauncey, New Straitsville, Malta, Corning, Buchtel, Lowell, Stockport and Jacksonville. Additional rainfall amounts of 1 to 2 inches are possible in the warned area.

* AFFECTED AREAS: ATHENS ... JACKSON ... MORGAN ... PERRY ... VINTON ... WASHINGTON
