CASE OF THE WEEK - Burglary and Identity Theft Suspect Arrested
Brandon Dickinson had three warrants for his arrest, two of which were for felony violations. His criminal history includes arrests for weapons, violence, resisting arrest and narcotics.
SCPD’s Special Enforcement Team (SET) developed an arrest plan for this wanted fugitive. Dickinson was located on the 1700 block Monterey Road in San Jose. As he exited his vehicle to get its windshield repaired, SET Detectives detained him without further incident.
Dickinson was in possession of large amount of personal identifying information for people other than himself, pepper spray, ammunition, a shaved key, gift cards, LSD, methamphetamine, false identification cards, a license plate from a stolen vehicle, a motorcycle helmet believed to have been used in a burglary and stolen property. Over 10 victims of identity theft were located from Santa Clara and Sunnyvale. Evidence from three separate burglaries was also located (Case Numbers 17-597, 17-4892 and 17-4470). The vehicle Dickinson was driving was confirmed as stolen out of Santa Clara (Case Number 17-4471). Dickinson was arrested and transported to the Santa Clara County Jail.
In the meantime, SET Detectives reached out to the victims of these various crimes to inform them that their accounts may be compromised and to return their stolen property.
