Wrightwood - Juvenile Mischief

INCIDENT: JUVENILE MISCHIEF
SUMMARY:
This news release is to ease the minds of community members in Wrightwood and ensure everyone there are no threats to the community related to the traffic stop witnessed on Highway 2.
A 911 call reporting a shooting had occurred at a residence in the 1000 block of Apple Avenue in Wrightwood. Deputies were given the description of a white Volvo as the suspect vehicle; however, no suspect description was available.
Deputies located the vehicle on Highway 2 and conducted a felony traffic stop. The vehicle was occupied by 5 male juveniles and an airsoft rifle was located inside the vehicle. Through investigation it was determined there was no confirmed crime and that it was a dispute between juveniles. All parents were contacted and no criminal prosecution was desired. All parties requested to handle the incident civilly between themselves.
