Assault with Deadly Weapon in Burson
(Burson, CA) On 06/20/17 at about 3:15 PM, The Calaveras County Sheriff’s Office responded to the 3300 block of Davis Road for a report of a 33-year-old victim allegedly being punched and kicked by 46-year-old suspect Dale William Wichman II of Burson. It was reported that Wichman became angry at the victim and repeatedly punched and kicked the victim. The victim attempted to leave the property when Wichman allegedly armed himself with a handgun and hit the victim with the firearm while he was trying to drive away. The victim also reported that Dale Wichman fired a single shot from his firearm into the rear of his vehicle as he exited the driveway. The victim sustained injuries to his face and upper body as a result of the physical confrontation. His medical condition is unknown at this time.
Detectives secured a search warrant for Dale Wichman’s Davis Road residence and placed him under arrest. Wichman was booked into CCSO Jail for Assault with a Deadly Weapon, Battery with Serious Injury, and Commit a Felony while out on Bail, Bail $315,000. The motive for the altercation is under investigation at this time.
